Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport/ Hawkins Field
Welcomes New Public Relations & Customer Service Manager
Jackson, MS-“City with Soul”
The Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) / Hawkins Field (HKS) welcomes new Public Relations and Customer Service Manager, Yolanda Clay-Moore. Clay-Moore is no stranger to the Jackson community, as she served as the Public Relations Manager for the Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau, now dba Visit Jackson, for several years.
Her presence is welcomed, especially as the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority recently underwent some rebranding, is embarking upon several economic development initiatives and soon to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Hawkins Field.
Clay-Moore is excited to join this team to show the community that the Jackson – Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport / Hawkins Field are both vital, vibrant and valuable assets to this community. She is a proud graduate of Northwest Rankin High School, Tougaloo College, where she received her bachelor’s degree and Full Sail University, where she received her Master of Science Degree in Entertainment Business.
She has a diverse background with a blend of marketing, sales, customer service and public relations. She is postured to use her relationships throughout the city to forge new partnerships and serve as a conduit to the various departments throughout both airports.
She has a love for people and has a special connection to JAN as her mother, Edna Clay, was a supervisor for GAT security before TSA came into existence. She inherited her mother’s passion and love for the airport and what it means to the community.
She affectionately calls her family the modern-day Brady Brunch, as she is the mother of five beautiful girls and married the love of her life, Cornelius Moore, who has two handsome boys, and they opened their hearts and home to two handsome nephews, they call sons. She also has three handsome grandsons.
